Beitrag von: G.I.angel Date: 02.02.2006 Thema: HOT CAR!!! ---------------------------------------------------------- My car overheated last weekend, one radiator hose clamp broke off. I changed the water pump and still overheating took off the thermostat..... still overheating, checked my oil .... oil was good, but water is not circulating in the radiator. And yes I bleed the air out of it after I filled it back up. Does that sound like a head gasket to you? There is no sign of oil in the water or vice-versa but I think that it just happened from one day to the other and it hasn't had a chance to mix the water and the oil yet. Can anybody give me some advice because I'm about to take the cylinder head off and I want to be sure that this is the problem before I start tearing it apart. ____________________________ Life's most simple pleasures..... So, your water chanel is closed. It could be your problem. Zitat: You opend the screw for air out on the radiator next to the fill in cap ? The engine should stand higher as the rest from the car, so it is easier to bring the air out from the engine. ____________________________ |

It's going to cost 1,500 (ouch!) Maybe the head can be bad but they haven't taken a look at it yet. ____________________________ Life's most simple pleasures..... Cost a shitload of money! |
