I agree 16" look the best, but I have a set of 225.40.14 tyres, that I thought I may be able to use.
Thats why I asked for a picture, to see how they look....

I could not find one car with so a size in our fotostory´s.
Here one, where you can see 14´s (Link) but even he use the 14´s as winter wheels.
So a size with wide tires are used very often on E21 cars.
I looked in our story´s, but again here wide 14´s are seldom. Sport size on a E21 was 15inch.
One other thing, with 225/40/14 your dials (speed) are sure not correct then. The tire section height from original 14´s are to far away.

I could not find any pictures either, so I guess I'll sell my 225.40 tyres and just go with 16" wheels and tyres.
