Is there anyone of you that has done a conversion from solid to vented rear disks on their ti's?
I plan to put AP-Racing brakes up front on my 2000 model 323ti (CP5200-1019, 330x28mm). In order to maintain stock-like brake bias, there is needed some modifications of the rear brakes. My investigations show that by using 276x19mm vented rotors (disks) and calipers (piston Ø38mm) from the e36 328i cabriolet, the brake bias is only marginally changed.
Do anyone know if this is possible? I guess I need some spacers both for the caliper and the emergency brake.
(Sorry for posting this in english, but my German is very bad - even worse than my english. Please feel free to answer in German though).

Forget parts from the other E36 rear axles.
The Compact have a different rear axle, it is nothing compatible to the other E36.

In my opinion it is the best, try to use Z3 Me parts, the Z3 have the "same version" rear axle in.

No, the disk should not be as large as possible. With stuff from the 328i cab. (276x19mm vented disk and 38mm piston size on the rear caliper) I achieve stock (static) brake bias with the AP-Racing up front.
The (static) stock brake bias is 72.62%. With the AP-Racing up front and stock rear, the brake bias become 76.78%, which I think is far too much front bias. With AP-Racing up front and 276x19mm/Ø38mm piston rear the brake bias become 72.29%, which is pretty close to stock.

By using Z3M parts for the rear (312x20mm/Ø39mm) I would not achieve the right brake bias (68.56% - too much rear biased).
I know of a guy that put e36 m3 brakes on an e30 325. For the rear he used e30 m3 drive flange output (to go from four to five bolts), but had to get machined some spacers/adapters for the calipers and the protecting plate/emergency brake.
