Hello,
Im looking for someone who like me is intrested in BMW (and porsche) and lives in germany. I drive Porsche 944 turbo (summertime) and BMW as a "all-year" car and im now intrested in exporting a BMW 318 cabrio to Sweden.
The thing is that many German dealers (and private) dont speak English and i dont speak German :) I would love to find someone that can help me find the perfect car so that i just cab send down a truck to pick it up or take a flight down and pick it up.
There must be someone kind BMW lover around that can help me?

this could be a little hard to cope with...as you will have to pay customs duty and all this stuff, when you export a car to Sweden. I know that cars in Sweden are much more expensive than in Germany, so it won't really help (I guess) if you buy this car in Germany.
But if you would like to do it that way, there are some car dealers around, who sell right-hand-drive-cars for members of the british Nato-Forces who are stationary in Germany. I think that they know a lot about the fees and all that stuff. Maybe you should first ask those guys for any information about dealing with this.

There are no dutys taxes or so to export to sweden. Just the corst to driuve it home, hotel, new plates, incurance and so on. About 500 Euro if i can by the car un-seen (about 1100Euro to travel down self).

First of all i would recommend you buying a 320i Convertible. Usually the 6 Cylinder BMW's are much better equipped and the Sound from the engine is fantastic compared to a 318. When you send me a list what car you are exactly looking for ( especially the colour and the options )i can check the BMW dealers in my area and my local newspapers. The best way to send me the list is via email: yellowcam@gmx.net.

from someone privat from the paper, save some money? :)
The thing is that i have a special sportcar insurance on my Porsch 944 Turbo
and this lo-cost insurance makes me have my home and my all-year car in the same insurance firm.
If i compare the cost on a 318 cabrio against the cost on a 320 cabrio, the price is doubble.
I have the Turbo if i wanna go fast or slalom, so i think a 318 cabrio will have to do fine for
me. For me it isn´t worth 800Euro /year extra in insurance to have a 320, if it was then i would by a M3 cabrio :)
