Does anybody know what exactly is included in the Exclusiv Paket?
If I check my car's "ausstatung" and see what is not listed, but is factory fitted, I can see
- Leather Armrest
- Full leather doorcard insert
- OBC (18-button MID)
There must be more?

ok, then give me you last 7 numbers of your car identy-nummer. then they will exactly know what car we are talking about.
also gefragt wurde hier nach dem Inhalt des Exclusive Pakets, er weiß das sein Fahrzeug es hat und auch das diese 3 Merkmale darin enthalten sind:
- Leder Armstütze
- voll Leder Türpappen einsätze
- OBC (18-button MID)
... denkt aber das noch mehr zu dem Paket gehören muss und danach fragt er ...

@Kwadde: so gehts natürlich einfacher, aber für jemand aus den Niederladen ist das natürlich schwierig mit der Suche.... Nebenbei, in diesem Beitrag wird das Exklusiv Edition mit Sonderausstattungs-Nr. 718 erklärt, oder irre ich mich da. Sonterausstattung Nr. 971 Exklusiv Paket sollte/müsste da eigentlich nochmal was anderes sein, sonst wärs bei der gezeigten Ausstattungsliste wohl nicht beides aufgeführt, oder?

exklusiv paket beinhaltet wohl, das was bmw an m_parallel geschreiben hat. also armlehne, türpappen in leder und den obc (das wird wohl der große bc sein, rat ich mal)

um das gehts im ja gerade, die haben ihm nur seine Ausstattungsliste geschickt, jedoch nicht (einzeln) aufgeführt, was die Sonderausstattung "Exklusiv Paket" genau beinhaltet. DAs was er oben aufgelistet hat, hab er selber herausgefungen bzw. meint, dass es ein Teil davon sein muss/kann :-)

Yes when I say OBC I mean what people call the "große" BC. Officially, only the 18 button version is called "OBC", but people call all other display version also OBC i.e. 7-button OBC, 11-button OBC, etc.
It's officially called a MID (Multi Information Display) and the 18-button MID = OBC.
And yes it seems there are two options:
Luxury package and
Exclusive Package.
Again, it's no need to give my last 7 digits of the VIN as that will only give you the option list of my car that I already have. Unless BMW germany can tell me what the specific content of the package is. I assume it's the same for all models (except compact).

@ folkert: the 3 things u listed in ur first post, dont belong to one of the Exclusive packages!!!

I found another: 789 Luxury Package.
So the exclusive edition has even more options. If Leder montana is "extra" I wonder what leather type the 971 one is!? According to my option list is was Montana too. I say was, as my interior was once swapped for an all black one, instead of the factory Saffron Gelb. But the leather could still be the same though.
The leather doorcards inserts ("Pappen") aren't listed on my option list and neither are the leather armrest and (Full) OBC. My I can see mine is factory wired, so not a self-installed one. And is not listed on my list (only outside temp display is listed) that why I thought it was part of the package too.
The english board says it was, but my car is a German import, so full German spec. Might be different per country?
Funny thing is that some parts of the package are listed as "seperate" options, like the auto dimm mirror, climate control, seat heating, AUC...
I know the items are listed have different numbers, but all the items in the packages have their own numbers too.
Where did you get that cool list?
And do you have other lists too maybe?
I'm trying to find out what all options costed around 1996/1997. For example what Digital Climate Control costed, electric seats, full OBC, etc.

the list i´ve got is the ´97 equipment overview.
and here are all available options mentioned incl. the price and the partnumber.
unfortunately it´s a german document.
but i´m going to send it to you anyway. check ur emails. ;-))
to be honest...i´ve never heard "789 luxury package"...but i`ll have a look in the document.
the armrest doesnt belong to any package...its partnumber is 0473
the leather doorcard insert ist always part of the full leather seats. but there is a special option called "extented leather interieur".
OBC is also a single option (#0554).
if u have only the outside temp. listed then one of the previous owners must have changed the BC into the OBC.
same with ur armrest.
if its not on the list, it must be fitted-in afterwards.

"789 luxury package" is listed in the All-available-options-of-all-models pdf I have, so it's likely from another model BMW.
Reason I think my OBC is factory fitted is because you would easily see if someone layed his own wiring inside the car. But unless the car was prewired for it (which I think they never did) someone did an impossibly amazing job as the wiring is 100% factory.
I'm kinda confused about the leather doorcard inserts. First you say it's always part of leather seats (I have seen tons of BMW's with leather seats, but with vinyl or half-leather doorcards) so you're second mentioning sounds more logical (to me) and that the "extended leather interior".
If you check the photostories on here, you can see many with leather seats, but with vinyl doorcard inserts or half-leather doorcard inserts...
